Troy Allen
Dealer Principal

According to the latest inquiries thru Wikipedia.com, and other search engines, the story of the enigmatic and reclusive Troy Allen is finally being uncovered. Rarely seen and even more rarely heard, Allen is an unknown quantity in the Automotive Industry, yet commands a great deal of influence running a 25 million dollar business.

Born, 1959 in East Derry New Hampshire, Allen began his career in 1969 working at a small Lincoln Mercury Dealership, scrubbing toilets, cleaning ashtrays and washing windows. In 1972 he moved to a more fulfilling set of job skills, scrubbing toilets, cleaning ashtrays and washing windows, as well as painting the facility annually, and preparing new and used vehicles for delivery and display. It was at this small Dodge Dealership that Allen began to formulate his adult beliefs and skills.

He was educated at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, and graduated with a Business Management degree from Frankin Pierce College in 1981. Up until that point, Allen worked in the Prep Department, Light Technician, Assistant Parts Manager, Sales Representative, Painter, Lot Boy, and general kick around warm body. Upon graduation he then began his full time career at a more modern facility in Derry housing Dodge, as well as AMC Jeep and Renault. It was in this time period that he aquired the title of Administrative Assistant.

From 1981 till 1993, Allen was effectively Sales Manager of the dealership, and worked as liaison with the manufacturers of the new vehicles franchised. In 1993 Allen became the General Manager, and then began the slow transition of taking control of the business from his father. After his father's retirement in 1998, Allen ascended to President and COO of Allen Motors Inc. Since that time, he has acquired the Chrysler Franchise from a local competitor, and shaped the dealership into a well-oiled machine.

Allen was active in local politics, served on the Zoning Board of Adjustments, Rotary, an influential member of the Derry Main Street Corporation, and former president of the Derry Economic Development Corporation, Allen, in 2004 suddenly left these positions, sold his 30 acre Shetland Sheep farm in East Derry, and moved to Portsmouth New Hampshire. It was at this time Allen became enigmatic.

Allen currently lives with his best friend and soul mate, Ellen, who, in a rare interview, he described as the one who guides his often aimlessly, wandering ship to safe harbors and is the anchor to the dog run he's attached to in the back yard. They have 2 adult children, Jake, who is a management student at Keene State College, and Lyndsey, whose partner in life is John Ryan McLynch. After inquiries with neighbors and friends, it was learned that he is an accomplished woodworker, enjoys travel, and generally a pretty nice guy. Allen currently shares the home with Margaret Elizabeth, Charlotte Ann, and the fabulous Harriet, (AKA Tiny), Shetland Sheepdog, Scottish Terrier, and Yorkshire Terrier respectively.

Currently much of the decision making for both the business and the home is conducted under the watchful eye and guidance of Harriet. Meetings are held at her convenience, at locations she determines, and the small yet feisty dog deftly manipulates topics of discussion. Recent sightings of Allen, although undocumented, have been reported as seeing Allen with a collar, and Harriet holding the loop end of the leash on walks.
